Merrydowners Morris were formed in 1990 by the Vicar and members of St Alban’s Church North Harrow. We started as a men’s side but have welcomed women to dance with us for more than 15 years.

Since starting at St Albans church in 1990, we have performed for local events in the Harrow area as well as travelling to France, Germany and Hong Kong to appear in the Chinese New Year’s Day parade. We have danced in the New Year’s Day parade in London several times, appeared on The One Show and Strictly Come Dancing. We have also appeared in a music video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TObQT9bl8ek and “supported” Ade Edmonson in a cookery demonstration. Merrydowners Morris were also part of the Opening event for the European football championships when held in London in 2004.
The Merrydowners Morris dance in the Cotswold style a range of traditional dances with additional ones borrowed, or made up by ourselves.
